Donald Jelley Obituary

Donald G. Jelley Jr.

Concord, NH - Donald George "Don" Jelley, Jr., born on September 11, 1968, in Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025, in his hometown of Concord. He was the beloved son of the late Donald George Jelley Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Jelley and a cherished brother to Joan and John Jelley.

Don was the devoted husband of Alissa Rachel (Clark) Jelley, whom he married 12 wonderful years ago. Their love was truly bashert, a match destined by fate, and they shared a deep and abiding bond that enriched both of their lives. His partnership with Alissa was marked by an unwavering love that was evident to all who knew them. Together, they created a beautiful life, full of laughter, support, and joy.

Don was also a loving "cat dad" to his treasured feline companions, Miles, Tiny, and Beans, who brought him much comfort and happiness.

A lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity, Don earned his master's degree from New Hampshire College and was pursuing a PhD at the time of his passing-a testament to his dedication to education and personal growth. Professionally, he spent 25 years as a Technical Trainer with New Horizons Computer Learning Center, where he inspired countless colleagues and students with his expertise, patience, and passion for teaching.

Don's life was enriched by his unique interests and passions. A devoted Star Trek fan, he found inspiration in its themes of exploration and discovery. A talented musician, Don had a deep passion for music, that reflected his vibrant, creative soul. Don loved sports, including his favorite teams the New York Yankees and Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" football. Some of his fondest memories were his yearly trips to South Bend with his father to see the Irish play.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Parish/St. Johns on Monday, February 3rd at 10 am, followed by burial at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Don can be made to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire (ARLNH).

I´m sorry I was unable to attend Don´s service today but was able to reminisce with a few of our coworkers from the nursing home. His sense of humor, his ability to teach us how to use a computer, how to carry one on his shoulder, and how to entertain many at events with his guitars! Thank you for sharing him with us

Sending love & hugs to Joan & John. I´m so sorry for the loss of Donnie! What a nice guy! When he was real little, I remember him being called "Ducky". Also sending love, hugs & condolences to the family and Alissa. May he rest in peace. (It is so hard to lose a younger sibling.)

My brother had an unparalleled sense of humor. He made me laugh until I couldn't breathe.
He was answering Jeopardy questions at age 10. He could be the most generous friend you ever met. His classmates nicknamed him Gentle Ben. I will miss him. Joan.
