The times that I was able to spend with my great aunt were very fleeting, but I will always remember her gentle ways and personality. She had a sharp wit and a ready smile - the world has truly lost a great lady. Until we meet again in the next life, rest in peace.

Olive and I send our deepest sympathy to Ray and all Edna's family.
I am a nephew but only met Aunt Edie on two occasions after she moved to USA. Fortunately one of those was just last year when she visited Toronto with Ray and Elaine. We all had a fine dinner with lots of reminiscing. My brother Eddy and I were amazed at how great our aunt looked and how clear her mind was at such an advanced age.
My mum Hilda (long since passed on) was particularly fond of Edna and they did meet up a few times in later life.

what im feeling right now is hard to put into words...i loved Edna ,and im going to miss her deeply, she was so special to me......she had a good long life, most of which was very active, and made many friends on both sides of the Atlantic-over the years as she traveled back and forth from her old home to her new one..she had Family all over, whether actual kin or not..due to her being born and raised to adulthood in England during world War 11 (she served in the Woman's Royal Air Force (WRAF)she was particularly fond of her music from that era and regularly sang along with the recordings.i will miss hearing that and good naturedly arguing with about her numerous brothers and sisters.now they are reunited.....God speed ......
