Elisabeth "Betty" Ann Kemper

Concord, NH - Elisabeth "Betty" Ann Kemper, 91, passed away peacefully after a brief period of declining health on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Havenwood Health Center in Concord, NH.

Betty was born in Ottawa, Kansas on March 7, 1934 to the late Paul D. Neidig and Mildred A (Ringey). Betty's early life was spent in and around Kansas City, Missouri and in 1950 during her sophomore year in English class she met her future husband, Ralph. High School graduation pulled Ralph and Betty in separate directions, but they kept their romance alive. Betty would fly to see Ralph in California with tickets that her father was able to get her while he worked at the TWA. Fortunately, they didn't have to maintain a long-distance relationship for long because they got married between their junior and senior year in Kansas City. Soon after they moved to California and lived on campus at San Jose State University.

Betty had worked at several major companies as a secretary around Missouri and California while supporting Ralph's 30 years in the services. She also took great pride in being a mother and raising their two children they adopted. When Betty wasn't working or helping the kids she enjoyed knitting and reading.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Ralph Kemper, their daughter Barbara Lynn Kemper of Newport, R.I., her sister Barbara Geer of Kansas City, MO., and their grandchild, Denali Kemper of New York City. She is predeceased by her son, David Kemper, who passed in 2023.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2025 at 1:00pm in the United Church of Warner, 43 East Main Street Warner, NH 03278. There will be a reception following the service. Interment will take place at a later date in the NH State Veterans Cemetery.
