Ernest Sharp Obituary

Ernest "Sonny" Sharp III

Concord, NH - Ernest "Sonny" Sharp III

7/1/1954 - 10/27/2025

Ernest P Sharp III, born on July 1, 1954 in Concord, NH to his mother and father, Ernest Sharp Jr. and Jo Ann Sharp. He was adopted by Jesse and Helen Murray. Ernest passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27th. Sonny, as he was known by his closest family and friends, graduated Concord High School in 1972 where he went on to Graduate from Southern New Hampshire University. He was known by all as an amazing family man, to his wife of 42 years, Catherine Sharp. He is survived by his wife, Catherine, their son, Ryan Sharp who was inspired by his dad's love for sports, and ultimately pursued a career in golf, and his wife, Kristen Sharp, and his granddaughter Addison Sharp. "He was pre deceased by his brother, Don Murray and survived by his four other siblings, Miriam Best (Hugh), Kathryn Crews (Grady), Barbara Johns, and David Murray.

Sonny was an avid Boston sports fan who loved every season and the opportunity for yet another Boston championship. Sonny overcame great adversity from a young age, doing it with grace-his infectious personality, caring attitude, and hard work ethic were cornerstones to his lifelong success. Sonny had an unmatched attention to detail, was meticulous in his craft, and helped bring hundreds of families dream kitchens to life while working with the Steenbeke family for more than 20 years.

He was an established little league coach and umpire in the Concord community. He was a proud "Gramps" to his granddaughter, Addison who he enjoyed traveling to see or welcoming home for her first tractor ride in the field. He was beloved by all who were lucky enough to know him and will certainly be missed.
