Frank Tully Obituary

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Frank Richard Tully, 50, of Charlottesville, Va., passed away suddenly late May, the result of heart disease and diabetes.

Born in Norwood, Mass. to Jean (Porazzo) and Richard Tully on July 11, 1963. Frank lived in Germany and Fairfax, Va. during his early years, then moved to Henniker in 1975.

Frank was a graduate of Henniker High school and Keene State College, where he had degrees in both Chemistry and Computer Science. He lived in Keene prior to moving to Charlottesville and spent the last decade in Virginia as a Software Engineer in both Government contracting and Video Gaming.

He was a lover of travel, of beer, was a poker and chess player, avid reader and a true film buff. He had perhaps no greater passion than his love for the Red Sox, which cemented the connection he always felt with the city of Boston. When he wasn't visiting with friends, playing games or talking baseball, he was probably working on his Honda Civic, which he bought new in 1996 and refused to trade away.

Frank is survived by his mother, Jean Tully Durgin, of Henniker; sister, Ann Tully Kenney and her husband, Michael, of Bristow, Va.; and brothers, Greg Tully of Henniker and Sean Durgin and his wife, Heather, of North East, Md.; his godparents, aunt, Rita Crowell and uncle, Carlton Pruell; as well as three nieces; a nephew, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was pre-deceased by his younger brother, Russell Durgin of Henniker.

He will be laid to rest in Henniker next to his father, Richard, who died in 1978.

Funeral is planned for Saturday, July 19, with at 10 a.m. mass at St. Theresa's, Henniker, followed by burial at the Henniker Cemetery.

After, all are invited to join in fellowship at the church hall.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family. For more log on to www.holtwoodburyfh.com
