John Mahon Obituary
Concord, NH — John Mahon, age 56, of Iron Works Road passed away on June 14, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Concord, NH the son of the late Richard Mahon, and Virginia (Daley) Mahon of Concord.
John worked for the State of NH for over 29 years as a supervisor for the Department of Health and Human Services until his retirement.
He had a passion for coaching his kids in softball, basketball, and soccer. He was an avid New England sports fan who never missed a game. He felt most alive listening to his favorite music, attending festivals, and spending his summers with his family on Lake Winnisquam.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his 3 daughters, Desiree Lindquist, Christiana Mahon-Rabun, and Morgan Mahon; 3 grandchildren, Cali-Ann, Camden and Kenzie; 2 sisters Cathy Mahon Babson and Eileen Thayer; and his brother, Martin Mahon; the mother of his children, Shari Mahon; his nieces and nephews, Patrick, Richard, Colin, Christopher, Shaylah, Michael, Jane and Frank.
Memorial Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, June 23rd from 4 to 7 PM at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord. To honor John's love for the Grateful Dead and sports please wear a Tie Dye, or your favorite New England sports jersey.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 24th at 10 AM at Christ the King Parish, 72 South Main Street, Concord.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Concord National Youth Softball, Box 2155, Concord, NH 03301

I was lucky to have John as my first supervisor working for the state of NH, we alway's had many stories to talk about and many good time's with friend's and his family. He will truly be missed and thought of him often.
