John Pendleton Obituary
York, ME — We grieve the passing of John Braman Pendleton, who ascended to his final peak September 26, 2022.
John was a devoted father, grandfather, husband, and friend with a love of life, people, and nature. John's warmth drew in all with those blue eyes, smile and unwavering and intense interest in the lucky ones he encountered. To know John was to love him.
A memorial service will be held at the First Parish Church, 180 York Street in York, Maine at 1:00 pm, October 8th, 2022.
Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory can be made to the John Pendleton Scholarship Fund at Proctor Academy. PO Box 389, Andover, NH 03216. Questions can be directed to [email protected].

John was a blessing in my life. He was kind, generous, supportive and an important part of my life as a Y runner. But before all that, he was my landlord. John was easy going with an easy laugh and despite his many accomplishments, never took himself too seriously. He was not driven by ego and always took the time to listen. My limited world was a better place because of him.
