Dear Janet and Family,
I gasped when I read John had died. I hope he was able to read the note I sent two weeks ago...I thought of the two of you so often! I loved my piano lessons with John, always unpredictable, always fun. I will miss him being here among us. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.

He was always a warm, witty, person who embodied the term 'gentleman'. We will miss him and toast his spirit.
Sending you and John's family our deep sympathy and best wishes.

Offering our condolences and remembering him very fondly. Jack was a good neighbor and will always be remembered by us for his generosity to Blythewood Associates & BNRC.

I remember Brother Rice as head of the Pittsfield Planning Board. In my dealings with him, he was always rational, intelligent and reasonable. He was a good and decent man. He contributed mightily to the City of Pittsfield.
