I can hardly believe it has been a year since Joe's passing. I still miss him terribly. I fondly recall and miss all the veggies and canned items he would save for me and my family... and the times he would make special trips to share his treasured garden gifts with others. Life is so precious and short...I pray that his children, siblings and friends are all well and that Joe continues to have a special place in your hearts and memories; He certainly does on ours. Wishing God's peace and continued blessings to you all.

I am sadden to learn of Julian's passing. We go a long way back to Wadesboro...Church and High School and recently blogging on Facebook. His family, the Coley's, have been dear people to all in our family: Sister Della Coley, Aunt Ann, Aunt Molly, too many to name, so he will always be in my memory. Praying for all his children and siblings.

I am saddened to learn of the death of Julian Ackerman. I was his senior sponsor at Wadesboro High School 1957-1958. I thought very highly of the whole Ackerman family.
I taught at Wadesboro High School 1956-1959. I formed many friendships with the students, faculty, and community people. I mourn the loss of every one of my former students. My total teaching career spanned 42 years. It is sad to look at the number of my former students who have left this present life.

.....Joe was an avid gardener, when he took the time; however, his true passion was helping others. He was a very generous man and always had a positive outlook on life. .....
Very influential and motivating. He live a long life. Brilliant. God rest his soul.
