Lois Lord Obituary

WARNER – Lois Gayle Lord, of Warner, passed on from her earthly body Friday, March 30, 2018, after living with cancer for several years.

Lois was born in Ary, Ky. on April 7, 1959, and lived there until she was 12 when her family returned to their native New England. She lived in Massachusetts before moving to New Hampshire in 1983. Lois most recently worked for the town of Warner in the Land Use Office, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Prior to working for the town she worked at the New Hampshire Association for the Blind in Concord. She had many dog loves throughout her life, enjoyed her gardens, hiking, spiritual retreats with her sister, cooking, picking and singing folk music especially John Prine, restoring the old farmhouse, and spending time with those she loved.

Lois is survived by her beloved husband, Jonathan; stepdaughter, Kaitlyn; dearest sister and friend, Robin Goodwin; older brothers, David and Danny Beckwith; nieces, a nephew and many grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Beckwith, mother Ada Beckwith and sisters, Darlene and Diane Beckwith.

In honor of her memory Lois asks that we all take a moment of gratitude for this sweet life we are given.

There will be a private service. Interment will be in the Boscawen Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are with the New Hampshire Cremation Society, csnh.com. Donations in her memory may be made to the Upper Valley Humane Society, 300 Old Route 10, Enfield NH 03748.

4 months have passed and I carry your sweet soul with me, always missing you. You were my tour of support, for 58 years. We weatherd many storms together. I am so sorry we could not get through this last one. I know your soul is happy but my soul is forever broken.
