I met mister Marshall when he opened his computer store on my street in Ploiesti, Romania, back when I was just a kid, I used to spend hours in his store, learning about computers and sales, and checking out the latest tech he had that I couldn't afford at the time.

I was 17 when he closed his store and moved back to the US, i've tried for years to get back in contact with him, and today I found out that he died. I am very sad.

With some of the knowledge that I got from him, I went on to work for an American IT company in Bucharest at the age of 20, and then moved to Norway.

I am now 26 years old and still remember mister Marshall.

R.I.P. Sir, you were a kind soul.

Hardly I can find my words.. Lee meant a lot for many Romanians he spread with joy and brought ideals and ideas jokes and joy within our families.. I know for sure that he disagrees for us to be sad.. like he always said "I will go to a better place Julian, you should smile and be happy for me".. I just cannot.I am honored that I've met such a wonderful friend and parent. He became a role model and an example for many of us. Lee, you will always be remembered and kept near our hearts. Our sympathy for the Newland family.

Am very sorry to learn of Marshall's passing. He and I worked together for many years in Motor Vehicle registrations, he being my Supervisor. He was given the task of bringing modern technology to our section and did it admirably. I know there are many former co-workers who will be sadden by his passing. Thoughts and prayers to all his family.
