Molly Banzhoff Obituary

On Saturday, May 7, 2016 Molly Banzhoff was removed from life support. She died from an undetected brain tumor. Born on April 1, 2003, she was just 13 years old. Molly's death has left a devastating hole in the lives of those who knew her. She was loved by everyone she met. Molly was a 7th grader in Cluster 7-2 at Rundlett Middle School.

A straight-A student she was an enthusiastic learner who was diligent in her studies and curious about everything. She loved going to school. She was a good friend to everyone and reached out to help those who were in need. Her lunch group with Mr. Lane was a highlight of her day. Molly was a dancer on the competition team at Concord Dance Academy. During the 15 hours a week she spent at CDA Molly developed not only dance skills but poise confidence and grace. A student there for 11 of her 13 years Molly loved to dance and was always tapping her way through life. Molly performed with RB Productions, The Performance Ensemble Group at RMS, and the Children's Theater Project. She loved being on stage and had a presence that captivated those who watched her perform. She loved every aspect of theater including the ice cream parties at Friendly's. She was always looking forward to her next show.

Molly's most important role, however was that of a sister. She and her sister Gracie were inseparable. Molly and Gracie loved each other in a way that caught the attention of everyone they met. Whether laughing over something, working on schoolwork, practicing dance or theater, or just hanging out, Molly and Gracie's love for one another was evident. Gracie will miss Molly the most.

Molly also leaves behind her parents, Kenny Banzhoff and Barbara Higgins, her Nanny and Papa Sharon and Norman Higgins, her sister Caity Cesarini and brothers Kenny and Davey Banzhoff. She leaves her Auntie, Johanna Higgins, her uncle Jonathan Higgins, his wife Lan-Lan and their son Jonah, and her uncle Rick Higgins, his wife Cathy and their daughter Kelsey. She leaves behind her Grandmother and name-sake Mary Banzhoff of Naples, Florida as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins in Harrisburg, Pa. and the greater Concord area.

Molly loved life and was passionate about everything. She was a social butterfly who found great joy in being with lots of people. If she had it her way, everyday would include a party of some sort.

It is in this spirit that we invite you to share in a celebration of her short life. Please join the many who love her at the Capital Center for the Arts on Monday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. for what will be Molly's final show.

Dear Barb and Family -- I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. My mom let me know, since we live outside the NH area. It's been a long time since I've seen you and I never had the pleasure of meeting Molly, but if she was anything like her mom (and it sounds like she was) she was a beautiful light to those around her, who brought joy and energy to all, and will continue to be as part of her legacy. I know that you are in shock and there is a gaping hole... know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Praying for God's grace and peace and daily sustaining for each of you in the days to come. Love, Meg

Barb, Ken, and Gracie,
We have been so very devastated by the loss you must be feeling. We have shared many memories of Amanda and the girls dancing together when they were very little and we first met you. Since then, we never saw her without that smile. She truly is carrying that with her above. We will continue to pray for you and your family.

My heart was broken for you when I heard the terrible news. I was wearing pink the day of the first news. I felt proud for the co-incidence. I have conflict for the celebration on Monday. My Play date chum, who I was with at the play, and I are giving a donation to PEG at Rundlett in Molly'a Name. MY THOUGHTS ARE VERY MUCH WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
