I am saddened to hear of the passing of your Mother,Mrs Neola Crathern.
Yes, I grew up being one the "Boys", whether it was just staying over night, going Skiing, Fishing or being a Boy Scout. Seemed that there was never a dull moment. And, we always had Fun.
Later, in life, I used to hear Neola and my Mother-in-Law (Blanche Roberts) getting into their Kayaks at Lake Horace. There was always splashing and giggles. Once they got settled in their crafts they would head to the Marsh, wereby they would, take a lunch. I still smile, remembering that I could hear them laughing all the way, till they were out of earshot. Needless to say, though they will now find each other in Heaven !!
Sending Much Love,

Having been really good friends with all the Crathern Boys, I have many fond memories of Mrs.Crathern. Whether it was to stay the night, go fishing, or with the Boy Scouts, I was always treated as one of the Boys. We grew up never referring to our parents by their first names....even today, I find it tough to refer to someone older than myself, by their first name.
My Mother-in-Law (Blanch Conant Roberts) was one of her best friends. I used to marvel at how Neola and Blanche used to go Kayaking up in the Marsh of Lake Horace. They would climb in (giggling & splashing). Once settled in,they were off, possibly taking a lunch, though always laughing and having a great outing. Now, I am sure they will be reunited in Heaven. And goodness knows they'll continue on as before !! Much Love.

Neola was one of my favorite people. I didn´t see her as often but will miss her deeply. Neola gave me a treasured gift some years back, and I feel truly fortunate to have a memento of our friendship. Rest in peace, my friend.
