Patrick A. Troy
Concord, NH — Patrick Troy, 68, of Concord, NH, peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, with his family by his side. The eldest child of Augustine and Marion (Leydon) Troy, he was born on January 16, 1954 in Stamford, CT. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law Douglas Pirc and sister-in-law Sarah Troy. He is survived by his siblings Mary Ellen Troy of Bridgeport, CT, Brian Troy of Tampa, FL, Loretta Pirc of Orange, CT, and Ginger Troy of Glastonbury, CT; his nephews Christopher (Emily) Pirc of Woodbridge, CT, Brian (Sofia) Troy of Tampa, FL, and Cameron (Blair) Pierce of Orange, CT; his nieces Jennifer (Matthew) Donan of Tampa, FL and Carolyn (Charles) Mullins of Alexandria, VA; and his grandnieces & grandnephews Brian, Mackenzie, Max, Landon, Emma, Bryson, and Graham. In addition, he is survived by Joshua and Taylor Caron, Michael Cohen, a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, and many other close friends.
Pat earned his bachelor degree at New England College in Henniker, NH, and went on to earn both his masters degree and his certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. He was also a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society at Plymouth State, and held an adjunct professor position teaching first and second year students majoring
in elementary education. His entire 35 year career was dedicated to the education of children and youth. He started out as a classroom teacher in New Hampshire public elementary and middle schools, then became the assistant principal at Winnisquam Middle School in Tilton, and then was the principal at Paul School in Wakefield until his retirement. In retirement, he found joy in working one-on-one as a
paraprofessional for special education students.
Pat also dedicated many hours giving back to the communities where he lived and worked. He worked with The Friends Program serving at-risk youth, families, and seniors in Concord, and played an instrumental role in the development and construction of a youth skateboard park. His legacy will live on in the hearts of the many who knew and loved him. If you would like to honor Pat's memory, please consider a donation to the Friends Program (
