Boscawen, NH — Philip I Mitchell, III, 37, of Boscawen, NH died Thursday, September 15, 2022, in Concord, NH surrounded by his loving family after a very courageous battle with a short illness. He was born on October 4, 1984, in Concord, NH. He is survived by his parents, Sheron Mauser of Rochester, NH and Philip Jr. and Cheryl Mitchell of Boscawen, NH.

Phil graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 2002. He attended the University of Northwestern Ohio where he became a certified welder. He was an owner of Phil Mitchell & Sons, General Contractors, Inc. Phil was very proud of the many construction projects he had done throughout the years. He loved working on many projects at the garage, his animals, the great outdoors and being up north at camp. He also loved riding his four-wheeler, fishing, and talking with family around the campfire. Phil was proud of his Christian faith and was always willing to listen and help those in need.

Phil is predeceased by his grandmother, Virginia Spooner, and his grandfathers, Bertrand Spooner, Philip Mitchell Sr., and Furn Loughery.

Along with his parents, Phil is survived by his grandmothers, Elizabeth Mitchell of Sebring, FL and Sandra Loughery of Boscawen, NH; siblings: sister Kerrie DiCapua and her partner, Stephanie Wilson of Austin, TX, brother, Matthew DiCapua and his wife Beth of Ashburn, VA, sister, Katie Cates and her husband Dustin of Rochester, NH, and sister, Jaimie Steeves and her wife MacKenzie of Boscawen, NH. His nephew, Maverick Cates and nieces Elisha and Ava Dicapua, and Hadley Cates will miss their favorite Uncle. Phil is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 4-7 pm at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street, Boscawen, NH. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Rd, Concord. Interment will follow the church service at Pine Grove Cemetery on Corn Hill Road in Boscawen. All are welcome to attend.
