Dear Dick, Kathy, Susan and Laura,
I was surprised, and saddened, to hear of your Mom's passing earlier this month.
She was a great lady – quick with a smile, and to lend a hand. Susan mentioned “the love of your Dad's life” on Facebook - I realize this is time for reflection on your Mom, but to me, she and your Dad were inseparable: Priscilla and Cliff. Mr. and Mrs. Thatcher. Your Mom filled in the holes that your Dad left. I believe she loved that role, would never have had it any other way. And, the truth be told, I was always kinda amazed at how she managed to raise (successfully) four such diverse children… She truly seemed happiest when with her family, whether she was cleaning up Dick's beer spill at a super Bowl party, or pulling out lunch for a crowd on the boat!
The world will continue on without Priscilla, but it will definitely be a lesser place.
Condolences.
