ROBERT WELLS Obituary
Robert, a beloved husband and devoted father, was born July 12, 1943 to Donald and Francis Wells of Sidney, Montana. He graduated in 1961 from Bend High School and then embarked on a challenging educational journey, earning a Bachelors (1966), Masters (1981) and PhD (1986) from the University of Oregon in Special Education and Rehabilitation.
Robert served as a public school teacher and administrator, consultant and university professor at the University of Oregon, University of Illinois, and the University of New Hampshire, ultimately retiring from the New Hampshire Department of Education in 2009.
Robert was also an accomplished artist, avid reader of history and politics, a devoted football fan, and golf lover. He was a pleasure to know as a friend, colleague and family member and his gentle presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years Debra J. Nelson, sons Brandon of Nottingham, NH, and Brett Wells, of Portland, Oregon; along with many family members and close friends. For the full obituary, please go to www.kentandpelczarfh.com/

I will always remember Robert's good nature, his quiet professionalism and his sense of humor. As someone working at the local school district level, I didn't always agree with the Department of Education, but Robert was always a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with. We could use lots more of his style and substance in every family and workplace.
