Rodney Boyd Obituary
Center Barnstead, NH - Rodney T. Boyd, 85, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 with family by his side. Rodney was born June 16, 1938, to Rodney William Boyd and Edna Harriet Boyd and was the oldest of three boys. The family lived in Inwood, New York until they moved to New Hampshire in 1956.
Rodney worked at NH Electrical Co-op for 35 years until his retirement and was also a 60-year member of the Center Barnstead/Barnstead, NH Fire Department as first a volunteer, then later Chief and passed his vast knowledge onto new firefighters as he helped train them.
Many nights he could be found at The Circle Restaurant in Epsom at his usual seat. A smile, wave and a friendly word was always there for those he knew.
Rodney leaves behind his wife, Eleanor; five children, Victor Emeney (deceased), Cynthia Cepurneek, Thomas Boyd and his wife, JoAnn, Jennifer Young and Amy Guillou; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law, Lana and Patricia.
Rodney, Rod, Dad, Daddy-O and Papa, will be missed by all.
Calling hours will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy Epsom. A funeral will be held on October 7, 2023 at 11am at the same location and refreshments will be served at Barnstead Fire Rescue on Parade Road in Barnstead after. Always appreciated Mr. Boyd's visits when he came to the house when we did foster care or did fire inspections after our numerous house projects. Could not believe how neat your place looked after all the mowing. May you be comforted knowing others share in your grief and loss. God bless.

My first memory is when the Boyd family moved to Barnstead. Rod has always been a faithful friend and help. My wife and I are in prayer for the family in their time of need.
