Roger W. Ingerson
Concord, NH - Roger William Ingerson, 83, surrounded by love, compassion, and kindness passed away July 8, 2025 at The Birches at Concord after dealing with Alzheimer's and declining health. He had resided
in Pembroke, NH for 58 years prior to his entering The Birches full time as of February, 2025.
Roger, son of now deceased Winona (Lewis) Brisson and Robert Ingerson, was born and raised in Whitefield, NH where he developed his love of golfing, having started out as a caddy at the age of 10 at The Mountain View. Many tales were shared particularly one in which he mistook a black snake for a branch!!!
Living among the mountains, he learned to enjoy skiing at the various areas, namely Cannon Mountain, then adventuring to other areas. His thirst for skiing lay dormant for many years, but once rediscovered, he delighted in Black Mountain in Jackson, NH as well as other areas of that locale.
Having graduated from Whitefield High School in 1960, Roger was undecided as to what his life vocation would be. In viewing New Hampshire College of Accounting and Commerce located in Manchester, NH, he decided that numbers had an appeal so pursued an accounting degree. He graduated in 1963 with his Associate's Degree in business administration and then returned to college via night school and completed the requirements for his four year degree in computer science graduating in 1981 from Southern New Hampshire University, formerly New Hampshire
College….
Roger was very active in local organizations. Over nearly fifty years, he enjoyed his involvement in the Jaycees' Suncook Chapter, the Lions' Club, the Masons, and served as treasurer for the Pembroke Old Home Day Committee. His devotion to the Suncook United Methodist Church was unending having served on many committees and boards of the church. Of particular joy was his working and serving the church suppers and especially working the fried dough booth at Pembroke's Old Home Day. His involvement in those years also included coaching and umpiring little league baseball.
Roger worked as comptroller for Centorr Associates of Allenstown, NH for 23 years. In 1988, he became President of Oxy-Gon Industries, Inc., a vacuum furnace entity that he and three other men created. Oxy-Gon still meets the needs of customers all over the world today, 37 years later.
Through his many years, not only were golfing and skiing of joy, Roger got great pleasure out of fishing, hunting, and skiing with his sons. He also found joy in traveling, camping, and simply going for a ride. He was easily pleased with a ride, an ice cream treat, or just eating at a favorite place.
Roger is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia (Patterson) Ingerson and leaves behind two sons, Douglas (Carolyn) Ingerson of Galloway, NJ and Kevin (Cheryl) Ingerson of Loudon, NH. Grandchildren of whom he was also very proud include Jared (Olivia), Michael, Jessica, Kathryn, and Samantha. Great-grandsons include Jack, Mark, and Rick who brought a smile to his face whenever he was shown pictures of the boys. Siblings include Audrey Stovall, formerly of Florida, Shirley St. Cyr (deceased), Alan Ingerson (Mary) of Viera Beach, FL and Peter Brisson (Cathy) of Manchester, NH as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held August 16, 2025 at the Suncook United Methodist Church, 152 Main Street, Suncook, NH. Calling Hour will take place at 10:00 AM, his service at 11:00 AM and a luncheon served immediately afterwards in the downstairs hall of the church.
