Ronald Roy Obituary

Ronald Howe Roy

Schnecksville, PA - Ronald Howe Roy, 82, of Schnecksville, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab in Allentown, where he had only recently moved. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Moynihan) Roy, with whom he shared 58 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on March 18, 1942, in Concord, NH, Ron was the son of the late Herman L. and Dorothy W. (Howe) Roy. He was a proud graduate of St. John's Catholic School in Concord, NH, and New England College.

Ron enjoyed a long and successful career as a sales representative with Shared Medical Systems in Malvern, PA. He and Sharon later owned and operated Yesterday's Memories, a consignment store in Venice, FL, where they spent many happy years. After returning to Pennsylvania to be near his daughters, Ron also enjoyed his work at Goodwill in retirement.

A dedicated Boston sports fan all of his life, Ron loved spending time outdoors fishing and golfing. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cherished time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.

Ron is survived by his wife Sharon; his two daughters, Lisa M. Roy and Michelle A. Roy, both of Schnecksville; his sister, Lynn R. Girard (Denis) of Charlottesville, VA; and his nieces and nephews: Kristen Golomb, Denise Sun, Melissa Girouard, William Stavros, Derek Moynihan, and Joseph Tutrone. He was preceded in death by his nephews Christopher Stavros and Norman Martel, Jr.

Services: A celebration of life for Ronald Roy will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 12 noon at Alan's of Boscawen at 133 North Main Street, Boscawen, NH with reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and remember Ron's life and legacy. All are welcome to share in this time of remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., - P.O. Box #196, Schnecksville, PA 18078-0196.
