Rose Everett Obituary

Rose M. Everett

Concord, NH — The world has lost a beloved mother and friend, Rose Marie Everett (Gagne). Rose passed away unexpectedly at her home in Concord on February 8, 2022 at the age of 87.

Born on July 16, 1934 in Concord, Rose was the daughter of Adelard and Simone Gagne and one of ten children. She attended Sacred Heart School and then married her loving husband of 50 years, Donald Everett, on December 31, 1955.

Through Donald's active duty with the U.S Air Force, they were stationed in Texas and also resided in Rhode Island, Nashua, NH and Bow, NH throughout their life together.

For years she worked in food service at various schools in the Concord area which she enjoyed greatly and was a life-long parishioner at St. John's Church.

Rose had many hobbies including a weekly bowling league, but her real enjoyment came from gardening, reading, making puzzles with close friends in her community, and spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed and remembered by all for her generous heart, friendly nature, and her passion for caring for others.

Her surviving family includes her three daughters, Robin Downes, Caron Fontaine, and Kellie Malette, two grandchildren, Molly Fontaine and Jesse Theriault, and great-granddaughter, Sophia Theriault. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and her siblings. A private service will be held at a later date to be determined by family.

Aunt Rose was a kind and thoughtful person with a contagious laugh; I can hear her now. Aunt Rose and Uncle Don would get together with my parents on most Sundays and play cards while I got to enjoy time with my cousins. Then we would all sit down together and have dinner. Those were the best days and I have such fond memories. Aunt Rose, may you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Robin, Caron and Kellie as well as their families. Having been out of NH for many, many years now I remember many visits with your Mom and Dad back in the old days as I am your Father's first (and only) cousin. Your grandparents, Mary and Buster. were my beloved Aunt and Uncle. I will certainly keep each of you, as well as Rose, in my prayers. Rest in Peace, Rose.

I was flooded with so many wonderful memories when I learned of your Mom´s passing. Of all of those ten Gagne siblings, Rose was my absolute favorite. She had such a warm and sweet personality and always smiling with a special spark in her eyes! My sincerest condolences to her very lucky daughters to have had Rose as their Mother. My brother and I were very lucky to have her for our babysitter!
"May your tears wash away your sadness and May beautiful memories warm your heart!"

The queen of West Street has passed into her rightful place at God´s table in his heavenly kingdom. Rose grew up in a neighborhood environment that included 20 siblings among the Gagnes, Greys, Jordan´s, and Smiths and she was by far the nicest of all of us. She was caring and thoughtful and always treated us with dignity and respect. I am so saddened by her passing, my prayers go out to her family. Rose will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was special.
