I had always hoped to visit the Trapp FanilyLodge and meet Ms Rosmarie Trapp after hearing her inspiring comments on the 40th anniversary DVD of the Sound of Music. As nice and inspirational as the film is, the real life account is better: struggles to make it in the USA, sharing the wonderful music which I enjoy on the CDs, a love of the beauty of old Europe and what our Lord did for and through this wonderful family, the memory of Ms Rosmarie along with her dear siblings, mother and father lives on as a great blessing to those of us who were not blessed to have met them personally. To Mr Johannes, his dear spouse and children I send belatedly, for I only recently learned of her passing:

To the family, many, many friends, colleagues and fans of this wonderful singer Ms. Rosmarie von Trapp fine comfort with you during this difficult time in your lives. Ms. Rosmarie von Trapp was a daughter of Georg and Maria von Trapp of the Trapp Family Singers whose story was told in the movie “The Sound of Music.” May the love and the special memory you shared and cherish with her show just how much your life was touched by her. We enjoyed the movie of her family to whom brought much laughter and joy too. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with your dear loved one Ms. Rosmarie von Trapp. May Almighty God in the Heavens comfort your hearts with peace and loving kindness as you cope with this precious loss in your lives. She will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

Rosemarie was a one person force for good in this world. We are so blessed to have met her. She loved the message of my husbands book, Love Revolution, Rediscovering the Lost Command by of Jesus by Gaylord Enns. She embodied the message in so many ways!
The world is a better place because of her love, passion and wisdom.

So sorry to hear about the passing Rosemarie. She taught me how to play the guitar when she was living in Glydon Maryland.

I was 10 years old when the sound of music came out. It touched my soul back then and still does. My mom bought me the album for my birthday. I listened to that sound track so much that I knew all of the words to every song. We even sang some of the songs in our school play. Great memories! May Rosmarie rest in heavenly peace.

I loved the Von Trap story, and the movie. I love better being able to visit their home in Vermont. She was a great singer, loved her parents, and siblings. She must have honored her parents well. The Bible says "Honor thy father and mother that thy days may be long upon the earth." She lives in the heart and memory of millions. Praying fir the family.

Having fallen in love with the von Trapp family via that famous movie I decided to learn more so I read Mrs. Trapp's book - How much more I was impressed! Being of Austrian heritage, I felt connected to every one in this lovely family. May your story never be forgotten and may the legacy you and your family have left live on.
