Roy Sargent Obituary
He was born in Epsom, the son of Charles R. and Selma (Moody) Sargent and has lived in Barnstead for over 56 years. He was an auto mechanic and had worked for Huckins Chevrolet in Pittsfield for 30 years and later ran his own business, Sargent's Garage in Barnstead until he retired. He was a Marine Corps Veteran . He also was a member of the Barnstead Fire Department and the Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janice (Corliss) Sargent of Barnstead. A son Roy A. Sargent and wife Denise of Loudon; and a daughter Pamela Welch and husband Kenneth of Bow. Granddaughter Staci Goonan and Husband Richard; and a great granddaughter Alexandria Goonan. A grandson Chris Silva and family. Twin Brother Royce Sargent of Barnstead and Lonnie Sargent of Zepher Hills, Fla. A sister, Ester Rhuland of Zepher Hills, Fla. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 24th, at 11 a.m., in the Barnstead Parade Congregational Church. The Rev Sandy Pierson, Pastor will officiate.
The family suggests donations may be made to the CRVNA Hospice Program, 30 Pillsbury St., Concord, NH 03301.

Uncle Roy always had a smile on his face, I bought my first car from him "68 Chevelle Classic" Uncle Roy tricked it out for me in his infamous Barnstead work-shop garage / may he rest in peace !!

Sorry to hear the news. Roy was a special person. Whether he was helping me with my AA Ford truck, working on a historical project or just talking about some Barnstead event, he was so enjoyable. My dad thought very highly of Roy and loved going to his garage and relaying old stories with him and the others hanging out there.
