William Bailey Obituary

William (Bill) Henry Bailey (Buffalo Bill) of Center Barnstead passed away peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his daughter Lisa, son Tim and nephew David, on Monday March 8, 2021 at Catholic Medical Center. Bill was born on May 4, 1941 in Concord N.H. to parents Yvette M. (Audet) Bailey and Robert Bailey. He graduated with a nursing degree and worked at New Hampshire State Hospital for more than 35 years.

Bill loved people! He had many friends and was known for his kindness and compassion for all.

He would not hesitate to help anyone in need. He was a gregarious soul and always had a joke or a quick witted come back. Bill continued to throw "one liners" out to his nephew David, right to the very end.

Bill is survived by his daughter Lisa M. Bailey-Audet of Freedom Maine, his sonTimothy W. Bailey of Manchester N.H., and his three beloved granddaughters, Michaela Wirth of Portland Maine, Elianna and Olivia Wirth of Freedom Maine; his sister, Sheila F. Ross of Concord NH, who has been taking great care of Bill for the past 2+ years, they were like two peas in a pod, (The Wonder Twins); his brother, Charles (Chuck) Bailey and wife Estelle Bailey of Sierra Vista AZ; sister in-law, Mary Jane Bailey; many nieces, nephews and many friends including a close friend Skip Heath. He was predeceased by Marlene Bailey his ex-wife and life-long friend; his mother, Yvette M. Bailey; his brother, Robert O. Bailey and his sister, Karen M. Bailey.

We are postponing services until the summer; a Catholic Mass and celebration of life will be coordinated in June 2021.

In lieu of flowers Bill loved a good hot cup of coffee and a donut. Please indulge yourself with a coffee and donut in his honor, he would love that. (Plain donuts were his favorite).

Assisting with arrangements is the Cremation Society of New Hampshire. To view Bill's online tribute, send condolences to his family, or for more information, visit www.csnh.com

I´m so sorry for your loss. I just learned that this wonderful man has passed away. Bill was someone you could bear your soul to. He would listen, help and console. You could count on him to give it to you straight. He spread kindness and joy to all he encountered. I will never forget this beautiful man and the countless acts of kindness to myself and my family. I recall on Christmas when we were in financial straits and he bought my children´s Christmas presents. He will be deeply missed. With Love and great sorrow, The Girards

I enjoyed working with Bill, he was always kind and was a great teacher. We were both involved in the Orientation of new employees and what a great Ambassador he was as he spoke about the hospital. I will see him up yonder.
