The Indiana native was a retired Paralegal, she loved her pets, she formerly served on the Library Board and the Board of Elections. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Anita Jean Allan Spencer.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Leonard Freels; children, Clayton Dean Freels (Leigh) and Elliott Spencer Freels (Courtney); grandchildren, Emma Spencer Freels and Ethan Carter Freels; sisters, Leann Spencer and Debra Curtis.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
