Christopher Brian Black

Christopher Brian Black, age 49, of Savannah, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025. He was born in Savannah to Charles Black and Gloria Jean Freyermuth Malone and lived here all his life. Christopher was a 1993 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School and later attended Armstrong State University. He worked for 22 years with Service Electric Company and most recently served as a Superintendent. He attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 184, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. In his spare time he enjoyed, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, cooking for his family and most recently, skiing and running 5ks. He loved to be on the water and outdoors, but first and foremost being with his family and friends. Christopher never met a stranger and was very kind and welcoming to all he met. He was a loving and caring, husband, father, son, and brother.

His family includes his wife of fifteen years, Christina Seeger Black of Savannah; his daughters, Kelcey Tayler Black and her fiance Matt Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida, and Caroline Ruth Black of Savannah; his father, Charles Black and his wife Nancy of Thunderbolt; his mother, Gloria Jean Malone and her husband Anthony of Savannah; his sister, Wendy Renee Waters and her husband James of Guyton; his step-sisters, Debbie Hayes and husband Jim of Rincon, and Susan Summerville of Thunderbolt; his father-in-law, David Seeger and his wife Annie of New Orleans, Louisiana; his mother-in-law, Anna Maria Seeger of Savannah; his sister-in-law, Daniela Palmer and her husband Nathaniel of Braselton, Georgia; and several, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Monday evening, March 3, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.) beginning at 6:00 until 8:00. The memorial service will be Tuesday morning, March 4, 2025 in the chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home at 11:00. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in the Rugged Cross section.
