Harmon B. Leaphart

Rincon-Harmon B. Leaphart, 60, after a long illness, passed away October 21, 2025 at Candler Hospital.

Harmon is preceded in death by his wife of thirty-six years, Kimberly Clifton Leaphart; his parents, Tillman Bryan and Cora Lee Leaphart; sister, Michele Leaphart Eddington; brother Barney Allen ("Al") Leaphart; half-brother, Timothy Leaphart; and his beloved dog Hero.

His survivors include his sisters, Jenny Corbin and Susan Thomas; brother-in-law, Richard Clifton (Lynn); and several nieces and nephews. The Atlanta native proudly served in the National Guard and spent his career as a diesel mechanic. His family remembers him being able to build anything and at one time an avid fisherman. Harmon attended Tompkins High School in Garden City, the same school where his later wife, Kim, graduated. While not "high-school sweethearts," they could have been. Harmon's deep love and devotion to her should be a model for us all. They were intertwined living, briefly parted but never separate, and now rejoined.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Guyton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances be sent to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association. We also ask that maybe we take a hint from Harmon and take care of one another.
