Riette Rabhan Pollack

1931 - 2025

Riette Pollack, 94, of Savannah, Georgia, and widow of the late Gerald Pollack, died Saturday morning, December 13, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Savannah Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Sadye and Abraham Rabhan. Riette graduated from Savannah High School and attended Armstrong State College. She married Gerald Pollack, the love of her life, at the age of 19 and enjoyed close to 60 years of marriage. Over time, she and her husband built a thriving and well known photography business, Pollack and Daly Photography. Riette was an active member of Bnai Brith Jacob Synagogue and long time supporter of Rambam Day School. She was steadfast in her faith and was committed to her Jewish Heritage passed down by her parents. She enjoyed celebrating Shabbat Dinners and Jewish Holidays with her family and countless friends. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and she never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, and survivors include her children, Shelley Kaplan (Steven), Irwin Pollack (Katie) and Donna Epstein (late Jay Epstein). Other survivors are her six grandchildren Jason Cowen (Rachel) and their children, Genevieve, Eli and Sadye, Marc Pollack, David Kaplan, Jacob Pollack and Richard Epstein. Other survivors include her sister Barbara Kooden (Late Lewis Kooden), and brothers Walter Rabhan (Barbara) and Jay Rabhan (Julia) along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 Monday afternoon, December 15, 2025, graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
