Mr. Robert Perry Floyd, 85, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at his home.

Robert was born in Willacoochee, Georgia and had lived in Port Wentworth for many years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances Tapley, Floyd; parents, Rubin Perry Floyd and Annie Collins Floyd; grandson, John Michael Cothren; siblings, Ruby Mason, Carleen Gorley, Grant Floyd, Billy Floyd, Bobby Floyd, Johnny Floyd, and Mickey Floyd. He served his country in the United States Army, retired from Great Dane and from the ILA. He was a member of Bethesda Church at Midland and will be remembered for being a family man. He loved everything about Dolly Parton, watching old westerns, and fishing. He is going to be missed.

Survivors include his children, Thomas G. Cothren (Donna), John Cothren, Farris P. Floyd (Teresa), Robert Jerome Floyd (Rebecca), Sheila Faye Broussard (Paul), and Sonya Kaye Farrar (David); grandchildren, LaTisha Collins (Ben), Jessica Bullard (Cornelius), Gregory Jodrey (Mallory), Kimberly Woodcock, Rebecca Rose Tucker (Chris), Paul Floyd (Heather), Chelsea Floyd, Nicole Davis, Savannah Carter (Klayton), Colby Floyd (Alyvia), Samantha Goodman, Sydney Molter (Tyler), Joshua Tindle (Jenna), Jordan Tindle, Olivia Warren (Joshua), and Victoria King (Austin); 32 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth M. Tapley (Maurene), Atha Richert, Aubrey Tapley, and Tony Tapley (Karen), as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Robert's life will be on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Broussard officiating and Brother Gene Hogg giving a Eulogy. The pallbearers will be Trampas Ray, Joshua Warren, Austin King, Joshua Tindle, Caleb Hall, and Christopher Floyd. The honorary pallbearer will be John Austin King (Spark Plug). The graveside service and burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Little Flock Cemetery located at 516 Little Flock Church Road, Collins, Georgia.
