Stephen Joseph "Steve" Stout

This week, our family gathers to bid a heartfelt farewell to Stephen Joseph Stout (Steve), a devoted father, son, and brother, who departed this life on May 6, 2025.

Stephen was born in Slidell, Louisiana, on September 30, 1979, to the late Joseph James Stout Sr. and Denise Mascaro Stout. He leaves a loving and extended family that will forever treasure his memory. His children, Stephen Joseph Stout Jr. (Taylor) and Bryce Edward Stout, carry his legacy. He is also survived by his beloved sisters: Sherri Stout Faamuli (Paul), Pamela Dussor (Chris), and Stephanie Wheelock (Tom), along with his brother, Joseph James Stout Jr. (Joan), his God Parents, Charles Mascaro (Bubby), and Karen Mascaro. His grandparents preceded him in death: Joseph Cecil Stoot, Edna Robin Stoot, Virginia Rister Mascaro, and Lawrence Mascaro.

We extend our deepest gratitude to his dear friend Martin Pierce for the companionship and support he provided throughout Steve's life.

Born into a large and loving family, Steve took immense pride in his Louisiana Cajun heritage. He served valiantly in the Army, bravely facing active duty challenges, and sustained an injury. As a proud member of the American Legion, he found solace and camaraderie while riding his Harley motorcycle alongside his fellow veterans.

A passionate cook, Steve was fond of spicy food-the hotter, the better. His love for mechanics shone through in his skillful work on cars, where he found joy and satisfaction in every wrench turn. Steve loved rock and roll music for its energy and emotion. It was the soundtrack of his life, providing him with joy and a sense of freedom. Known for his infectious laughter and remarkable storytelling, he dedicated his life to spreading happiness and making people smile.

Relatives and friends of the family are cordially invited to attend a Memorial in Steve's honor at the American Legion located at 318 S Court St in Florence Alabama on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Join us as we celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many.
