Mr. William Hyland "Billy" Oglesby, 79, of Millen, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Wellstar Health System.

Billy is going to be missed by his wife, Exie Mozee Oglesby of Millen; son and daughter-in-law, William "Billy" Oglesby (Penny) of Stilson, Georgia; step-daughter, Shenita Mozee of Millen; step-son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Angie Mozee of Texas; grandchildren, Samantha and Adam Raeke, Shanda and Hunter Horton, Noah and Brie Oglesby, Dylan Oglesby, Emory Mozee of Texas, Avianna Mozee of Millen, Javina and Janalya Oliver of Sylvania, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Paisley Horton, Kinzley Raeke, Karley Raeke, Mason Horton, and Kiley Raeke; siblings, sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Tommy Cox of Waycross, Georgia, Frances Oxford of Harrison, Tennessee; Donnie Oglesby of Waycross, and Stevie Oglesby of Sylvania, Georgia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Billy was born in Millen and was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Hyland Oglesby, as well as a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Emily Oglesby. William served his country in the United States Army and drove a truck. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed his tractors and animals, and watching his TV loud. "The highway is my second farm, and every mile is a new row to plow".

The visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Billy's life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Randall Tebeau officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.
