Allen Selders Obituary
Uniontown - Allen E. Selders, age 71, of Uniontown, passed away in Florida on February 7, 2018. He was born September 4, 1946 in Coshocton, Ohio. Allen proudly served in the US Army, 199th Light Infantry Brigade, Company 3/7th Infantry, B (Bravo) in Vietnam from 1966 and was wounded in 1967. He earned the rank of Spec 4 and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of Buckeye Convertibles of Canton, Shenango Valley Corvette Club of Pennsylvania, the Archaeological Society of Ohio and the NRA. Allen loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. He was an avid fisherman, and loved to hunt. He enjoyed participating on Corvette shows and parades.
He was preceded in death by his father Dale Selders. Survivors are his mother, Joyce (Bice) Selders; wife Susan (Ringenbach) Selders; son, Kevin (Jodi) Selders; daughter, Kim (Dave) Safreed; sister, Linda (Steve) Linham; grandchildren, Lauren Safreed, David Safreed, Brandon Selders, Kevin Selders Jr., Chris Burchett and great-grandson, Legend Selders.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00am in Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel with Pastor Demetri Mittas officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday evening from 5-7pm.
