Curtis Jones

Columbus - Curtis Allen Jones, age 53, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

Curtis was born in Coshocton on July 8, 1965 to Minnie Clara (Western) Jones and the late Thomas Ward Jones. After graduating high school, Curtis attended cosmetology school. For many years, he worked as a materials handler for Parker-Hannifin in Columbus. Curtis was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing and painting. He loved to read, collect antiques at auctions, and spend time outdoors when he could. He and his partner, Michael York, also enjoyed travelling all over Ohio together.

Curtis is survived by his partner, Michael York, mother, Minnie Jones, three siblings: Teresa (Ricky Whims) Ames, Amy (Larry) Durben, and Steve (Cherie) Jones; niece, Justine (Jamie) Albert, nephew, Jared Jones, and two great nieces, Clara and Ellis Albert.

Along with his father, Curtis is preceded in death by his uncle, Paul M. Western, and his grandparents, Mike and Marie Western, and Betty and Art Jones.

Calling hours for Curtis will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Deacon Doug Mould officiating. Burial will follow at south Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 805 Main Street, Coshocton, OH 43812.
