James W. Koman

ELYRIA: James W. Koman, 85, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Center Ridge Nursing Home following a short illness.

James was born September 7, 1926 in Coshocton, Ohio where he was raised. He has been a resident of Elyria since 1949. He was employed at Applied Industrial Technology formerly Bearings Inc. for 42 years in sales retiring in 1988. He we was a member of the Elyria First United Methodist Church, served in the United States Army during World War II, and was a member of the Elyria American Legion Post #12. He attended Ohio State University.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Clova M. (Nee Ford); one son, James Koman, Jr. and his wife, Jude of Waxahachie, Texas; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, Ohio on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elyria First United Methodist Church, 312 Third Street, Elyria, Ohio. Rev. Roger Talbot will officiate. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton, Ohio.
