Norma Elizabeth Riddel Parsley passed away at age 90 on December 25, 2024, in College Station, Texas.

Norma was born November 29, 1934, in Grimes County, Texas to Francis Adair Cunningham Riddel and Charles Tilden Riddel. As a child she lived in Conroe, Ft. Worth, and Houston. She later attended Conroe High School. She married George Lee Parsley on August 31, 1954.

George and Norma had five children and eventually settled in Palacios, Texas. Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed drawing and painting. She was an active member of the local Order of the Eastern Star, including serving as Worthy Matron. George and Norma were married more than 65 years.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents and husband, George. She is survived by her five children and one son-in-law: Nancy Parsley of San Antonio, Texas, Virginia Klingeman of San Antonio, Texas, George Lee Parsley, Jr. of Austin, Texas, Charlene E. Garcia, of Bay City, Texas, and Linda McGuill (John) of Bryan, Texas. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Nicole Wallace of Jacksonville, Florida, Derek Klingeman, of Arvada, Colorado, Jo Lee Garcia, of Bay City, Texas, and Aaron McGuill of Stephenville, Texas. Her great granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Rodriguez of Bay City, Texas, was born in 2025.

A graveside ceremony will be held for Norma at Copeland Chapel Cemetery in Montgomery County, Texas at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26th.
