Aline J. Conces was known by many names - Mom, Wife, Granny, Honeybear, Grammy, Bunny, Aunt, and Great-Granny. She was loved by many and held a special place in many hearts. She was one of the sweetest women with the most beautiful soul you could ever meet. Aline passed away and joined the Lord on November 25, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Conroe, Texas.
Aline was born in Tampa, Florida on October 22, 1943 to Lois and James McDonald. She grew up in Lutz, Florida and went to Hillsborough High School with her sister, Ann. Growing up, they spent many days swimming in the Hillsborough River where they often jumped off a swing into the river and would spend the day swimming, sometimes even with snakes and gators. They also spent many summers skiing on Lake Wilson and going to Ari Peka to spend time with her cousins.
Aline worked as a teacher's aide and attendance clerk. She enjoyed bowling and faithfully attended church where she volunteered by helping with Sunday school and church activities, including many summers of helping in VBS. She also volunteered with the Special Olympics. She met her husband, Larry when she joined a bowling league after moving to Pasadena, Texas. The two enjoyed bowling, spending time with family, and traveling.
Aline had a very caring and generous spirit, always putting others before herself. Even through her own struggles, she looked after her family. She remained her husband's primary caretaker up until the last few years of her life, and attended to his needs with astounding strength and unconditional devotion. She was the first call if a grandchild was sick, and was always checking up on friends and family, no matter how near or far. She continued to donate to her church and favored organizations even up until her final weeks.
