Carl Wayne Martin, Sr. age 82 of Spring, Texas, passed away July 13, 2021. He was born on November 3, 1938 in Houston, Texas to William and Nina Martin. Carl served as Airman Second Class in the U.S. Air Force, retired from Randall's and volunteered for precinct 4 Constables Office. He married the love of his life and friend, Alice, and together they watched their family grow. He enjoyed fishing and boat rides and could always be found cheering on the grandkids at sporting events. In their later years, he and Alice found great joy in traveling together, especially to Alaska which became a recurring favorite. Carl leaned a little to the quiet side but never missed a chance to create laughter, interjecting a bit of his sarcastic humor whenever possible.
Carl was a wonderful loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Carl is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Billy and David Martin. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Alice, son Rickie Martin and wife Tiffany; son Carl Martin; daughter Carla Darnell and husband Gene; stepson Kevin Boucher and wife Amy; grandchildren, Robbie, Carlie, and Cadie Darnell, Alexandra, Zoey, Joey, Andrew and Maggie Boucher, Rudy and Elizabeth Moore. A celebration in honor of Carl's life will be held Friday, July 30, 2021, at 9:30 am at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S. The Woodlands, TX 77384. A Military Honors Ceremony will follow at 12:45 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038.
