JoAnn Black Obituary

JoAnn Black, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully left this earth to be with Jesus, while at home on November 3, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 30, 1935, JoAnn shared nearly seventy years of marriage with her husband, Milton Clyde Black, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, David Mark Black and John Matthew Black, and John's wife Deanna. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Cindy, Holly, and Brittany and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Laney, and Amy.

JoAnn's faith was the steady center of her days. She read her Bible daily and prayed faithfully for every member of her family by name. Her favorite verse offered a constant reminder of her faith and the peace she found in Christ:

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus."

- Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

She leaves her family with many happy memories and we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace, free from worry, and walking with her Savior in heaven.
