Johnny Muller Obituary

Johnny Frederick, "J.Fred", Muller Jr. went to be with His Lord on Wednesday, August 31, 2011. When he passed away, he was surrounded by the love of his wife and children at his side.

He was born to Johnny F. Muller and Ina Pearl Seward Muller on February 2, 1933, in Conroe, Texas. He grew up in Willis, attended Willis High School and graduated from Texas A&M, the class of 1953. He then went on to serve 2 years in the Air Force at Eglin Air Force base in Florida. He returned to Willis to continue his lifelong career in the lumber industry. On a blind date he met his love, Charline Hawthorne, and they married in 1960. They have three wonderful children, Melanie, Jay, and Michelle. He instilled his love of family, heritage, and patriotism in his children. He embraced his wife's love of travel through many motor home trips, cruises, tent camping, fun times at the Ranch, hunting, B-B-Q cookoffs, sitting on thousands of bleachers watching athletic events, trying to find the best chicken fried steak. He enjoyed being with friends and was always known as a soft spoken gentleman with a quick wit. Although his health declined, he never lost his sense of humor.

J. Fred leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 51 years, Charline, his daughter Melanie and husband Beaver Shuffield and their children Colton, Makennah and Morgan of Cameron, Texas, his son Jay and wife Becky, and their children Johnny, Joshua, Hannah and Nicholas, of New Waverly, Texas, his daughter Michelle and husband Burr Taylor and children Caitlin, and Samuel of Le Rouret, France. J. Fred's nieces and nephew are Heather Hawthorne Brook and husband Rich, and their children Vance, Trevor and Derek, Hagan Hawthorne Seiple and husband Bob and their children Madison and Myles, Ticia Hawthorne Sauer and husband Ralph and their children Hayley and Tucker, Monty Hawthorne and his wife Stephanie and their sons, Hugh and Henry, Vicky Lossow and her husband Rick and their children David and Karynm, Vali Sollock and her husband Jimmy and their daughters, Amy, Amber and Ashley. J. Fred Will be missed also by Daileen, Ray Plummer, Barbara Johanson, Rona Johnson, Al Muller, Gene Seward and countless Muller and Seward cousins. J. Fred and his family were loved by and are appreciative of his special caregiver and friend Donna Wichman. J. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marthella Mears, his beloved in-laws Charline Ray Hawthorne, Monty and Pat Hawthorne.

Visitation will be Friday, September 2, from 5-8 p.m. at the Muller home, 100 Memory Lane, Conroe, Texas. A celebration of J. Fred's life will be Saturday, September 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 2727 North Loop 336 West in Conroe, TX.
