Lynnwood "Lynn" Matthew Clark, Jr. 87, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021. He was born on August 27, 1933, in Conroe, to Mary Caroline Van Horn and Lynnwood Matthews Clark, Sr. Lynn was a United States Air Force Veteran. He retired as a math and computer programming educator for Lamar Institute of Technology. Lynn taught mathematics at multiple public schools. He also volunteered at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas for 18 years.

Survivors include his children, Sheryl Carlile; Denise Grant and her husband, Jim; Kenneth Clark and his wife, Patricia; Kimberly Hoffpauir and her husband, Matthew; grandchildren, Tom Carlile; Daffney Cseke, and her husband, Frank; Stephanie Banks and her husband, James; Michele Andrus; Nathan Grant and his wife, Rachael; Sarah Baudains and her husband, William; and Elizabeth Hoffpauir; great-grandchildren, Austin Hinely, Courtney Andrus, Madison Banks, Meagan Andrus, Cole Banks, Matthew Cseke, Calista Cseke, Kaleb Banks, Emmett Grant, and Everett Grant, and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Jean Clark; sisters, Mary Lynn Lafley; Jeanie Belshe; Carolyn Thousand, Patricia Davis and Erin Streater; and brother, George Clark.

A memorial service for Mr. Clark will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, Beaumont. His cremation arrangements were handled through Broussard's Crematorium, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
