Paul Butaud Obituary

Paul Milton Butaud, a courageous fighter and beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones after a valiant 16-year battle with cancer. Born on July 31, 1954, in Houston, Texas, Paul's family relocated to Conroe in 1956, where he spent his formative years.

Paul's zest for life was evident early on, graduating from Conroe High School in 1972, and subsequently earning his degree from Texas A&M in 1976. A man of many talents, Paul achieved his pilot's license during this time, eventually becoming a respected flight instructor and corporate pilot. His passion for aviation was matched only by his love for the outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and flying.

In 2005, fate introduced Paul to Genevieve Snyder, his soulmate and partner in adventure, whom he married in 2017. Together, they embarked on countless journeys, with their favorite destinations including Belize and Mexico. In Belize, Paul's generous spirit shone brightly as they supported the local school in San Pedro, delivering much- needed books and supplies.

Paul's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found a successful ammunitions company, where he competed with industry giants before eventually selling the business, leaving an indelible mark on the shot-shell industry. Despite his professional achievements, Paul remained humble and selfless, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Paul's legacy of kindness and compassion extends beyond his immediate family, as he leaves behind a community of friends and relatives who were touched by his warmth and generosity. He is survived by his devoted wife, Genevieve; and his loving sons, Nick and Jack Irene; along with his brother, Bill Butaud; nephew, Casey Butaud; niece, Barry Mann; aunt, Linda Bryant; and numerous cousins.

Though Paul may no longer be with us in body, his spirit lives on in the cherished memories and stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of resilience, generosity, and unwavering positivity will continue to inspire us all.

In honoring Paul's memory, let us not mourn his passing, but rather celebrate the extraordinary life he lived. Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

A funeral service for Paul will be held Monday, May 13, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303.

Paul was a wonderful person even in high school. I remember him as a compassionate, fun loving guy who was respectful of the opposite sex and had a wonderfully witty personality . I lost touch as we all went our separate direction , but it seem what he was then was just the beginning for this caring unselfish man. I am sorry I didn't get to know him as an adult. RIP Paul ! You will be missed by many!
