Stephen Redd Obituary
Stephen Clyde Redd was born September 25, 1949 in Woodville, Texas.
He passed from this life on October 24th, 2025 at the age of 76.
He is predeceased by his parents, S.C. and Helen Fiedler Redd and his oldest sister, Judith Martin Lyles.
Steve is survived by his wife Palmira Soraya, son Jeremy Ryan and his wife Charlotte; his sisters, Mildred Townsend, Darlene and husband Frank Smith, Rhonda Reyne and husband Terry Grady, and Melissa Redd. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Redd and his wife Teresa; his Aunt Mary Clemonds, in addition to many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces, cousins, many employees and countless friends.
A couple of years after Steve was born, the family moved to Houston where Steve spent his school years. He was a natural athlete, excelling as a second baseman and a quarterback for Smiley High School. After graduating high school in 1967, he went to Texas Lutheran College in Seguin on a football scholarship.
He eventually transferred to University of Houston where he earned a degree in civil engineering in 1972.
Steve married Vicky Barlow in 1974. His son, Ryan was born in April of 1977. One year later, Steve founded Reddico Construction Company, Inc. in April of 1978. The company celebrated its 47th anniversary this year. Widely respected in the construction industry, Steve built a company that has grown and prospered.
Steve married Palmira Soraya Chulfaian in October of 2008 and gained another big family: mother-in-law, Dora, father-in-law Robert, grandfather Augusto, step-son Frankie and step-daughter Sofia, brothers-in-law Juan and Augusto; a sister-in-law, Gabriella, her husband Tom and niece, Isabella.
About 20 years ago, Steve fulfilled his life-long dream of being a Texas Rancher when he bought the 7 Mile Ranch. Many friends and family members have spent unforgettable weekends there. Being semi-retired for the last year, Steve was starting to spend more time at the ranch he loved.
Steve was a loyal and kind person, generous with his time and resources and he inspired loyalty in others. A lot of joy has left the world with him and he will be forever missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Lone Star Convention Center, 9055 Airport Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 1-4pm. Flowers deliveries accepted on Monday until noon.
