Alfred Bradberry "A.B." Hundley passed from this life on November 17, 2025, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Malachi Jordan
Aldridge; and one sister, Karen Hundley Hearn.
A.B. is survived by the love of his life, Sheila Neal; two daughters, Lisa Morrison (Allen) and Libby Aldridge; one bonus daughter, Sherry Sawyer; five grandchildren, Tyler Young (Karie Casto), Tanner Young, Ashlynne Young (Austin Berry), Adeline Aldridge, and Abigail Aldridge; two great-grandchildren, Ada Young, Paisley Aldridge, and baby Emma Young who's on her way.
Known for his sharp wit, boundless energy, and warm smile, he worked hard, helped quietly, and never met a job he wouldn't try. He often called himself "a jack of all trades and master of none," but those who knew him would say there was very little he couldn't figure out.
He began working at just six years old, picking cotton, and spent his life hustling to provide and build. He constructed his first house at twenty-two, then worked many years in flooring sales before becoming a rural mail carrier. Along the way, he continued to acquire and manage rental properties, repairing and improving them himself. He loved to "pick and poke," teasing those around him with a mischievous grin that let you know a joke was coming. Auctions were a favorite pastime, especially when he could buy "box and contents" just to discover what might be inside; he liked to say he could dig through it twice and still find something new.
A quiet giver, he often slipped someone in need a bit of money, fed livestock for others, or repaired what was broken without being asked. After many years without a relationship with God, he recently made the decision to follow Christ, sharing that he had finished reading the entire Bible. His family doesn't know what they'll do without him. He will be missed every day.
