Our beloved, Angel Gonzalez, was born in Monterrey, Mexico, on Aug. 11, 1982, and sadly suffered the loss of his father at the tender age of 1. He was brought into this country soon after, and was raised and loved by his mother, brother, grandparents and the rest of the family. With heavy hearts and to our dismay, we received the untimely news that Angel passed away, at the young age of 39, on July 5, 2022.
He is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Yolanda and Mark Ratliff; his brothers, Enrique, Joshua, Justin and Chris; his sister, Crystal; his nieces and nephews, Kennedy, Presley, Daniel, Hailey, Logan, Mallory, Easton, Natalie and Madison; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends who will all miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his loving father, Enrique Gonzalez; and his grandparents, Celia and Rafael Morales.
Angel was a very hard-working young man that gave it his all in anything he set out for. Though he never started a family of his own, he was a loyal and dedicated uncle to his nieces and nephews who came to visit at their grandparents often.
They meant the world to him, and he was very proud to be their uncle. He was such an amazing son to his parents.
He was a wonderful and loving son always staying close to his mom and dad and helping in all he could. His unconditional love for his brother, Enrique (Henry) was evident and the same for all his step-brothers and sister.
He had a passion for riding his motorcycle as often as he could, as once his father did!
His love for his pet dog, Uno, who he raised since birth, was shared often on Facebook for all to witness. It fills your heart to watch them spend his free time together on their fun adventures.
Angel had the best personality. Always wanted to make people smile whether if it was by acting silly, telling jokes or poking fun. He always enjoyed many genres of music that he loved sharing with most of us, relaxing at home watching movies and eating his favorite foods from the comfort of his couch. His friends and family know him for that beautiful smile and his incredible willingness to help others. He will be sorely missed and remembered for the rest of our lives in those sweet memories filling our minds, warming our hearts and leading us through.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Shinn Chapel with Mike Steiner officiating.
Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m., until service time in the chapel.
Pallbearers will be Henry Gonzalez, Joshua Ratliff, Justin Ratliff, Christopher Ratliff, Daniel Ratliff and Hector Morales.
