Daniel Larry Bubbus, age 65, of Russellville, died Monday, July 31, 2023, at his home. He was born July 14, 1958, in Pine Bluff, to Jimmie and Margie Prine Bubbus.
He was a lifetime member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church in Pine Bluff and a member of the Roland Smith Hunting Club in El Dorado. After graduating from high school, he went to Louisiana and was a cook on the oil rigs. He then returned to Arkansas where he worked for his father and uncle, Jim and David Bubbus at The Chicken Country Restaurants, they started. He retired from JW Aluminum. Larry loved to read, hunt, fish, and ride his ATV through the mountains with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifford Gus, Paul James and David Vernon Bubbus; a sister, Gail Spadoni; and three nieces, Ellie Harris, Kayla Bubbus, and Heather Nicole.
He is survived by; a sister and special brother-in-law, Teresa Harris, (Leo); a sister-in-law, Marilyn Bubbus; a brother-in-law, Billy Spadoni; nieces and nephews, Jerimy Spadoni, Andrea Spadoni Smith (Patrick), John Bubbus (Lisa) and Brandy Bubbus Scruggs (William); seven great-nieces and nephews; and the extended Bubbus and Prine families.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Don Stiles officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. A private burial for the family will be in Cypress Memorial Gardens in Pine Bluff.
The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
