Dennis Leon Robison, 73, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. Born on December 17, 1950, in Miles City, Montana, he was the son of John and Gladys Alderman Robison.
Dennis served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and later worked as an instructor at Arkansas Nuclear One. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he married Amanda Bass on June 12, 1976, in Charleston, South Carolina. He was an active member and elder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, enjoyed competitive pistol shooting, and had a passion for genealogy.
He leaves behind his wife, Amanda; his children, Josephine Chaney (Jerry) of Dallas, Stuart Jellison (Michelle) of Yokosuka, Japan, DeeLeslie Hovis (Craig) of Dardanelle, Samuel Robison (Angie) of Russellville, Jonathan Robison of Williston, North Dakota, and Charles Robison of Russellville; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Caren McGlenn; and a brother, John Robison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Robison.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiated by Bishop Mike Davis. Military honors provided by Rogers-Rye Post 2283 of the V.F.W. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Humphrey Funeral Service.
