Jackie Daniel Piearcy, age 74, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sept. 2, 2021, surrounded by family and friends at his home. He was born April 16, 1947, in Wicks, son of the late Philip A. (Red) and Elsie Keen Piearcy.
Jackie was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all his heart. He loved his job and coworkers in the logging business and ministering the gospel by song. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Cleta Rose and Geraldine Funderburk; and three brothers, David Piearcy, Philip Piearcy, and Robert P. (Bobby) Piearcy.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Duvall Piearcy of Atkins; mother-in-law, Sue Turner of Perry; sister, Jill Smith of Mena; brother-in-law, Carl Duvall of Atkins; daughter, Sherron Piearcy Cogburn (Freddie) of Russellville; sons, Donny Brown (Sharon) of Carthage, Texas, Vance Garrison (Leronda) of Russellville, and Lynn Garrison of Russellville; grandchildren, Jordan Piearcy, Hunter Piearcy (Alexis Harris), Anna Garrison, Abby Garrison, Cooper Garrison, Natalie Bailey (Hunter), Christopher Brown (McKenzie), Christian Brown, Rebekah Brown (Collin Cox), Mary-Beth Brown and John Thomas Brown; great-granddaughter, Briella Brown; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Lemley Chapel with Bro. Robert Heflin and Bro. Donny Jewel officiating.
Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Visitation was held one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Hunter Piearcy, Todd Piearcy, Paul Piearcy, David Piearcy, Greg Smith and Fred Rose. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Piearcy, Tony Garrison and Kevin Little.
