Lula Mae Hale, 91, of Falling Water, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was born March 2, 1934, in Falling Water to Johnny and Alma J. Lynch Humphrey. A former caregiver, Mrs. Hale was remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In her early life, she was a member of Falling Water Church however later retired to Russellville. She was a devoted member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God and enjoyed gardening, canning, worshiping with her church family and spending time with loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, J.D. Hale; a brother, Troy Humphrey; and a sister, Zelma Chisum.
Survivors include two daughters, Karol Rye of Russellville, and Kathy Hale and husband, Don Mackie; a son, Mackie Hale and wife, Nancy; six grandchildren, Jake Rye and wife, Brooke; Audrey Rye-Lee and husband, Karson; Joseph Luke Hale and wife, Emma; Lexie Hale; Ellie Hale; and Anna Beth Hale; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, T. Johnny Humphrey as well as several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at Falling Water Church with the Revs. Donnie Chisum, Jeff Lewis and Arnold Humphrey officiating. Burial will be at Moore Cemetery in Ben Hur under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
