Mary Younger Obituary

Mary W. Younger, age 91 of Clarksville, Arkansas passed away, Monday, January 13, 2025, in Clarksville. She was born March 27, 1933, in Ozark, Arkansas to Willard "Jack" Wisdom and Eula Harriett Baskin Wisdom.

Mary was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Ozark and Russellville First United Methodist Church. She was a Valedictorian of her High School class and was always proud to be an Ozark Hillbilly. Mary attended and finished Business College, worked for the Social Security office, and worked at elections, which she enjoyed. Other things she enjoyed and loved to do were sewing and gardening. She was a member of the United Women of Faith, Family Life Circle, and the Arkansas Cattle Association. She received an award for Special Mission Recognition in the UWF.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, WH Younger; one brother, Gerald C. Wisdom Sr.; one sister-in-law, Ann Lane Wisdom.

Mary is survived by nieces and nephews, Carolyn Wisdom Withers, Gerald C. Wisdom Jr., and Shae Wisdom; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark, with Brother Tony Griffin officiating, with burial at Highland Cemetery, Highway 64 West Commercial Street in Ozark.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ken Withers Sr., Kenn Withers Jr., Harley Dalton Wisdom, and Gerald C. Wisdom Jr.
