Michael Douglas Stroud, of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away February 23, 2026.
Michael was born in Little Rock, AR, on May 24, 1947. A proud Arkansan and longtime resident of Russellville, AR, he was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. He retired from Entergy after a dedicated career and was a man of steadfast character who took great pride in his work and even greater pride in his family. During his many years in Russellville, he was a devoted member and served faithfully at Grace Fellowship Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Ann Stroud (Whitley), and his parents, Douglas and Demetra Stroud. He is survived by his sister Judy Stroud (Gwynn), sons and daughters-in-law: Barry Stroud (Beth) and Andy Stroud (Kristi), sister-in-law Bobbie Barnes, nephews Sam Barnes (Amber) and Tim Barnes, grandchildren Meredith, Carter, and Bruce, great-niece Evelyn and great-nephew Camden. Michael's legacy of service and faith lives on in the hearts of his family and the many friends he made throughout his years in Arkansas and Ohio. Woo Pig!
A celebration of life will be held on March 28, 2026, at Fairpark Baptist Church, Russellville, AR – Will Vodrazka officiating. The visitation will be at 2 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Michael's honor to your local food bank.
